Kevin Spacey recently clarified the confusion created by a Telegraph article that claimed the actor is homeless.

The 66-year-old made headlines when he mentioned he is primarily living in hotels and Airbnbs while following work, which was misconstructed by the headline in The Telegraph as him being “homeless.” The title of the article read: Kevin Spacey interview: Homeless, cancelled and crooning in Cyprus.

In a video shared on X on November 23, 2025, the two-time Oscar winner denied the false reports. He explained that in the light of the recent articles claiming him “homeless”, he felt the need to respond to not only the press but to those who reached out to him out of concern. He thanked them for their generosity.

He then added that, though there might be people living on the streets or in cars, he is “not one of them, nor was I attempting to say that I was.”

Kevin Spacey addresses the confusion created by the Telegraph

Kevin Spacey recently took to his social media to speak on the misleading headline by The Telegraph, claiming him to be “homeless.”

In a video posted on his official X account, Kevin Spacey highlighted that he is working nonstop and basically lives in hotels and Airbnbs, switching places as the work demands dictate, as he did when he first started his acting career.

The American Beauty actor went on to further criticize The Telegraph for a “knowingly misleading headline” and said:

“In my conversation with Mick Brown, the wonderful journalist who wrote the story that was in The Telegraph where this rumor first began, I said I was basically living in hotels and Airbnbs and going where the work is..”

Kevin Spacey then added:

“it was a shame that the telegraph chose to undermine the work of their own journalist by selling him out with a knowingly misleading headline for the sake of clicks.”

Spacey’s recent interview with The Telegraph sparked concern among his friends, colleagues and public, where he mentioned his nomadic lifestyle and financial strain. He told the outlet:

“I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain. The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out.”

When Spacey posted a video on X to clarify The Telegraph's misleading claims, many of his fans and supporters took to the comments to show their support.

“Very good that you have set this straight with this terrible sensationalist media! I hope that wonderful films/theater productions are coming your way again and wish you much luck. Your show 'Songs & Stories' was fantastic and unforgettable!” Wrote Els ripperda on X.
“Thanks, Kevin. On the bright side, I certainly never would’ve listened to your video if I hadn’t seen the dubious reporting. Best of luck as you recover your career.” Paul Melnyk added.
“I hope we start seeing you in important roles again. I stopped watching House of Cards when they took you off the series. Good luck and take care!” A fan noted.

Kevin Spacey most recently starred as psychologist Dr. David Harper in the sci-fi thriller The Tenth Planet – The Red Sister. Production for the film has wrapped in the UK. It is currently on sale at the American Film Market.
