The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating Raja Jackson. TMZ reported that the son of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, former UFC light heavyweight champion brutally attacked an unconscious wrestling opponent on August 23, 2025.
The LAPD allegedly told the media outlet they were called to a wrestling event on August 23, 2025. The police took a report of the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
A viral video shows Raja Jackson slamming his opponent, Syko Stu, real name Stuart Smith, to the ground, seemingly knocking him out cold. Raja then mounts Styko Stu and proceeds to hit him repeatedly before he is pulled off.
After the attack at the KnokX Pro Academy in Los Angeles, Styko Stu was taken to the hospital. Wrestling reporter Sean Ross said the match was planned, but the heavy blows "were not planned to do that kind of damage."
“Raja was told that he could get his payback in the ring,” Rampage Jackson explains the incident involving son Raja Jackson in an X post
A video making the rounds online shows Syko Stu hitting Raja Jackson's head with a can before the wrestling match. Clips show the two of them appearing to make up and shake hands before entering the ring.
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson took to X on August 23, 2025, to explain the situation. The former UFC champion stated that his son was “unexpectedly” hit on the head by Styko Stu before their match, and he was told that he could get his “payback” in the ring:
“I want to clear up the misinformation about my son Raja. I've been confirmed that the wrestler ( Stewart Smith aka Syko Stu) is awake and stable. Raja was unexpectedly hit in the side of the head by him moments before Smith's match. Raja was told that he could get his "Payback" in the ring, I thought it was a part of the show.”
Rampage Jackson condemned his son’s actions while also expressing concern for his son, Raja Jackson and Styko Stu:
"It was bad judgement, and a work that went wrong. Raja is an MMA fighter, not a pro wrestler, and had no business being involved in an event like this. I don't condone my son's actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, im deeply concerned with his health AND the well-being of Mr. Smith. That being said, I'm very upset that any of this happened but my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery. I apologize on his behalf and to KICK for the situation.”
