The R&B singer, Mario, is reportedly expecting a baby with his girlfriend, according to a report in The Shade Room.

In an Instagram post shared on August 27, 2025, the outlet announced the news along with a few pictures of the couple. In one of the photos, the Let Me Love You singer's girlfriend (whose identity has not been made public) is seen showing off her baby bump as she stands beside the singer. In another, the singer was seen kissing her belly. The post shared by the outlet read:

“Awww! Looks like congratulations are in order! Mario’s girlfriend posted up alongside the singer with a baby bump!”

According to The Shade Room, the announcement was seemingly made by his girlfriend, where she wrote in the caption – “Whoopsss…I ate too many brownies.”

The news has left people wondering if Mario is married. The answer is no, he is not married nor has he ever been married or engaged, according to a report in Entertainment Now. In an interview, the singer opened up about dating, where he revealed that he isn’t on any dating apps.

In a 2019 Rap-Up interview, the R&B singer Mario, whose real name is Mario Dewar Barrett, shared that he isn’t on any dating apps because his “Instagram is a dating app.” The singer said that he gets multiple DMs from women on the app.

Speaking about what attracts him in women, he told Vibe in an interview that he doesn’t deal with “crazy” women or don’t go out in clubs with the latest models. He said that he needs “a conscious woman.”

In an interview with Essence in 2022, Mario spoke about his dating plans. He said:

“I don’t have a lot of time to spend so when I do go on dates I try to get a lot in on one date. I don’t even know what my type is because I’ve dated so many types of women. Some are just friends, we’ve never done anything intimately — but one keeps me wild, one I’m connected to on a soul level, and one is like in the middle of both of those. I’m finding myself.”

He added:

“It’s really about finding ways to express love in different ways. There’s not one person in my life right now that I’m like, ‘Oh I love this person.'”

However, he did fall in love for the first time at the age of 17 with his high school sweetheart. He shared with the outlet:

"I would say [I was] 17, that's when I first felt like I could trust her with everything. We talked about everything, she was my best friend. I was in the business, so I didn't really have real friends and I have been with her beforehand so she knew me differently. I felt like that was my first time falling in love."
