Prince William does not need to look far for live music he has a tiny musician in his own home. While on a visit to a group of young people in London recently, the Prince of Wales let it be known that his youngest son Louis is learning to play the drums. At just seven years old, Louis is already keen on music, and his father couldn't be prouder.

William admitted he never was a good drummer to begin with but couldn't help ribbing that Louis would have happily sat down with the teens he was going to visit, because he's "practicing right now." It was a sweet insight into life in the Wales household, where music seems to be a major part of the kids' everyday lives.

Prince Louis's hidden musical talent

Prince Louis's love of drumming comes as no surprise music runs in their veins. Prince William showed off his musical past, claiming he played the piano, trumpet, and even the drums when he was a kid. But there was a catch: he could not read music, so he had to learn everything by heart. He went on to give it up, something he now wishes he hadn't.

That is why he is making sure all three of his kids George, Charlotte, and Louis have a chance to learn music properly. William doesn't see it as a hobby; he considers it something "really important and crucial" for their upbringing.

This is not the first occasion when the prince has spoken about the musical chaos at home. A few years back, he revealed how mornings used to turn into spur-of-the-moment concerts, with Charlotte and George fighting over which song to play. And now, with Prince Louis pounding away, the royal household appears more hectic than ever. William went so far as to say that he spends most of his time with "fingers in my ears" a classic parent moment that many will be able to relate to.

The public's love for the musical interest of the young royals has caught on. The public loves these candid moments with the family, especially those that show the children as artful and fun-loving individuals. Prince Louis himself is a favorite of mine because of his cheeky behavior at formal functions, and news of him drumming adds to his charm.

By encouraging their children to value music, William and Kate are continuing a family legacy of valuing the arts. For them, it's not about being busy it's about developing discipline, creativity, and joy through something as universal as music.

Prince Louis is only seven, but his passion for drumming tells us that he's already set his own beat. If he goes on or not, this much is sure: music will always be an integral part of the Wales clan. With William and Kate in his corner, Prince Louis's musical career is just beginning.
