Popular American actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry has been sued for the second time this year. According to reports, aspiring actor Mario Rodriguez filed a lawsuit against Tyler on Thursday, in a California state court, accusing him of sexual assault, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Mario, who landed a role in Perry’s 2016 movie, Boo! A Madea Halloween also filed a claim against Lionsgate, the distributor of the film. In June this year, another actor, Derek Dixon, who appeared in Perry’s The Oval and Ruthless, also sued him for sexual assault. Both Mario and Derex are represented by Jonathan J. Delshad.According to Mario, he decided to take legal action against Tyler Perry after hearing of Dixon’s lawsuit because the Madea actor was:“Continuing to use his power and influence to sexually assault hopeful actors and, with the voice of others, decided that it was time to tell his story, to obtain justice, and to finally stop Mr. Perry.”Rodriguez is seeking at least $77 million in damages.Tyler Perry is known for having a very private romantic life.
