On October 6, The Tonight Show confirmed Taylor Swift’s upcoming appearance following the release of her album The Life of a Showgirl, leaving fans excited.

Just a few hours before the episode was set to air, the show’s Instagram page shared a video featuring Swift and Jimmy Fallon. In the clip, Taylor was seen playing songs on vinyl, starting with The Fate of Ophelia. As she played, Jimmy Fallon danced along to the music.

Later, Taylor switched the song to the Eldest Daughter. Jimmy Fallon’s expression quickly changed to sad as he held three stuffed cats in his hands, which fans believed were Taylor's cats Meredith Grey, Benjamin Button, and Olivia Benson. After playing the two songs, Taylor stopped and said,

"I’m going to say hi to Jimmy."

To her surprise, when she opened the door, she saw Jimmy Fallon dancing to her song Wood. Seeing him enjoy the moment, she smiled, gave a thumbs up, and closed the door.
