Actress and model Julia Fox has previously been candid about going under the knife. She has now opened up about her thoughts on women who freely undergo cosmetic procedures. People magazine caught Fox during the premiere of her new film, The Trainer, at the "Tribeca Festival" on June 7. She expressed admiration for the "new wave of women" who are open about external procedures. She noted,

"I love it. I think we should be honest."

Julia Fox elaborated that opening up about cosmetic procedures helps normalise the narrative around beauty. She noted that not disclosing can inevitably set "unrealistic" standards of perfection and said,

"Women set the bar for each other and I feel like if you're setting an unrealistic bar [if you're not honest]. That's really great for you, but what about all the girls that are so impressionable and feeling like 'Wait, why don't I look like that and what's wrong with me?'"

Julia Fox is encouraging women to open up about any cosmetic surgeries they may have undergone to protect younger girls, who may be "impressionable." She elaborated the "list" of things one can undergo to achieve a beauty standard. She said,

"It's like, girl, none of us look like this, you know what I mean? Like we all look really different without the surgery and without the fillers and without the makeup and all the things we do and the face tapes and the wigs and the tanning creams."

The actress previously disclosed to Elle magazine in 2023 that she had undergone "liposuction and Botox." In an April 2025 interview with the Document Journal, the actress elaborated on her definition of beauty. She described that it can be a "blessing or a curse." She added,

"It can be the chains that keep you down and it can also be what sets you free. My beauty comes from within. It is precious and not for everyone. My beauty belongs to me, not to men. I only allow for a select few to experience my beauty. My beauty can be terrifying.”

Julia Fox is applauding a "new wave" of people who are candid about their cosmetic surgeries. The actress explained that disclosure can prevent individuals from falling prey to unrealistic beauty standards.

In other news, Julia Fox wrapped up the North American premiere of The Trainer, a dark comedy. The actress is accompanied by a star-studded cast, including Vito Schnabel, Paris Hilton, Bella Thorne, Lenny Kravitz, and others.
