Watching the Oscar-winning actress Julianne Moore and the multiple Emmy-nominated actress Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria) in an edge-of-your-seat thriller is going to be extremely electrifying.

If the official trailer of Echo Valley is anything to go by, the film is going to be intensely emotional. The trailer opens with Sydney Sweeney's Claire hysterical and distraught at her mom Kate's door, covered in someone else's blood. Set on a farm, the film follows Kate's journey as she crosses all limits to protect her daughter and hide her dark secrets.

Claire reveals to her mother that she was in an argument with her boyfriend and ended up hitting him with a rock, and in the next shot, we see Kate carrying a body and dumping it into the middle of the river. Claire brings more than just her traumatic experience to her mother's doorstep, as we see Domhnall Gleeson, a local criminal, testing Kate's resilience and strength.

In the middle of this peaceful, picturesque farm, far from the fast-paced city, we're faced with a tense danger full of secrets and breakdowns and fights, as Kate crosses all limits when it comes to protecting her daughter.

Apple TV describes this film as:

"In the edge-of-your-seat thriller Echo Valley, Kate (Oscar winner Julianne Moore) is a mother struggling to make peace with her troubled daughter Claire (multi-Emmy nominee Sydney Sweeney) — a situation that becomes even more perilous when Claire shows up on Kate’s doorstep, hysterical and covered in someone else’s blood. As Kate pieces together the shocking truth of what happened, she learns just how far a mother will go to try to save her child in this gripping tale of love, sacrifice and survival from BAFTA-winning director Michael Pearce and Emmy-nominated writer Brad Ingelsby."

Julianne Moore recently talked to Vanity Fair about Echo Valley, calling it a:

"This is a story about relationships."

Whereas Sweeney talked about how she captured her character Kate, a volatile addict's emotional state:

"I’ve had a lot of family members deal with addiction and struggle with similar issues. There’s a manipulation underneath a lot of it. But when there was love in the air in the room, you truly still felt it."

Echo Valley is all set to premiere on Apple TV on June 13, 2025.
