A new Keanu Reeves movie is on the way, and he has landed a perfect role in it. The film is called Good Fortune, and he is an angel, which he has proven to be on several occasions. The film will be released on October 17, 2025, but will premiere at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival, which will be held between September 4 and September 14, 2025.

The official trailer of the film arrived last night, and the actor's innocence is very heartwarming. Interestingly, he plays Gabriel, the same Gabriel Tilda Swinton played in Constantine (2005), whom he despised. But this is a better version of the Archangel, not an evil half-breed.

He will try to show a man that wealth won't solve a problem by giving him the wealth. But this plan backfires, and this wealth actually solves all of his problems. And now Gabriel has lost his wings, which is sad but also funny. You'll see.

If John Wick's the only franchise you have seen, know that Keanu Reeves is radiating an entirely different aura in this comedy flick that Aziz Ansari has written, directed, co-produced, and acted in. Speaking of the two, the trailer starts with Ansari and Reeves only.

Ansari plays Arj, who works for a wealthy socialite named Jeff (Seth Rogen). He is standing in the middle of the night, probably thinking about his misfortune, when Reeves's Gabriel arrives in a truly angelic manner with some beautiful music in the background, like it's a dream. This dreamy sequence comes back to reality when Arj asks his guardian angel, "Who the f*ck are you?" Girls might fall for the next frame where he shows Arj his wings.

Then Arj shares with him his frustration because nothing is working out for him. And that is when we realize that Gabriel is a "budget guardian angel," who helps people in a small way. However, he is about to do something bigger for Arj to show him wealth won't make him happy.

Around the 1:10 minute mark comes the most hilarious scene of the Good Fortune trailer. He is talking to Martha (Sandra Oh), who isn't really happy about what Gabriel has done, which is swapping Arj's body with that of his wealthy employer, Jeff. The consequence? Jeff lost his life, and Gabriel lost his wings. Maybe he will have a Red Bull in the movie later.

We then see Arj living a luxurious life while Jeff struggles in this new life. Eventually, all three come face to face, and we see Jeff asking Arj to switch back in frustration. It seems like Arj won't be living this life for long, as he tells Jeff that,

"Why don't you go tough it out for a few days?"

In the last thirty seconds of the Good Fortune trailer, we see a more frustrated Jeff asking to meet God while the wingless Gabriel watches.

This scene returns, and now our Gabriel appears to be smoking cigarettes, which sort of shocks Jeff, who asks,

"What has happened to you, Gabriel? You're smoking cigarettes now?"

To that, Gabriel replies,

"Leave me alone, Jeff. I like it, it's all I have."

And the trailer ends with that.
