The car-chasing and guns-blazing action in the Lost Bullet franchise is here with Last Bullet, and we are here to discuss who gets that last bullet in the franchise. You see, Lino (Alban Lenoir) and Areski (Nicolas Duvauchelle) are back, but the latter lives by the end of the movie, as Lino didn't take his revenge from the last two films.

In fact, the last film in the trilogy serves as sort of a redemption arc for Areski; more about it in a minute. We have Commander Resz (Gerard Lanvin) as the main protagonist of the film, and he has got some loyal henchmen with him. One of them is Yuri (Quentin D'Hainaut), and this loyal henchman is supposed to follow his boss's order and kill Areski.

He had a good chance, but he didn't do it, neither Areski nor Lino, whom Yuri finds together at the end. The main reason he didn't do it is that there's no reason to, given that his boss isn't in the game anymore. No head, no orders, simple as that.

Yuri was betrayed by his own boss in Last Bullet so he gets it

The problem with bosses is they want respect, but they don't respect. And when you don't respect, you aren't getting any. The same is true with loyalty. Yuri is tasked by Commander Resz to take down Areski for he is becoming a threat to his corrupt business that he operates while staying as the head of the Narcotics Department of the French Police.

The henchman is on the hunt now and even opens fire on Stella (Anne Serra), Areski's ex-wife's house, just as he had imagined. Though Yuri didn't come with an intention to kill her or Areski's son. He was there because Areski was there. Are you seeing the morality of the henchman?

While the story moves forward, Commander Resz has a new darling now, his name's Cole, who advises Yuri be murdered in cold blood. Never trust these bosses, for they can't even think for themselves. Yuri eventually realizes that he may get his last bullet anytime, so he sidelines a bit after he almost dies via schemes devised for him by his new enemies.

However, he finally appears in the end as Resz is about to outshine Lino and Areski and kills him, exacting his revenge on him. But that's not the end; he takes down the commander's new darling too. That ends the story for good.

But why did Resz want to kill Areski again?

Areski was a stumbling block for the Commander, and he wants to get rid of anything that connects him with the death of Charas (Ramzy Bedia), whom Areski himself killed in the first film.

Before this, Areski had been living underground but still attached to Resz to aid in his corrupt practices. He also has a new girlfriend where he is hiding, but then she doesn't live long enough to see the rest of the film. Resz kills her.

An attack also follows after this, which makes it clear to Areski that the boss has played him for good. And the story begins from here.

For us, it ends here.
