Last Bullet: Everything we know about Netflix's latest French thriller

The third film in Guillaume Pierret's French cop thriller trilogy, Last Bullet, is up and running on Netflix. And while there are not enough tomatoes (read that 'reviews') in the Rotten Tomatoes grinder to tell us if that juice is fresh or not, it looks more promising than the other two, as all the available reviews are fresh as of this writing.

If we ignore the scores and actually watch the movies, every film has raised the bar a bit higher. Though characters, dialogues, and storylines aren't exactly a tasty food for film enthusiasts, they'll sure love the action sequences in there.

Alban Lenoir, Gérard Lanvin, Nicolas Duvauchelle, and more are in the film, with the story picking up from where Lost Bullet 2 ended. Currently, it is the second most watched movie on Netflix, the first being Exterritorial, according to streaming data aggregator FlixPatrol.

What's the story about?

The film opens with Areski (Duvauchelle), a cop-turned-fugitive who is currently involved with drug-related activities in Germany. It then sends him back to France, where the story develops to a point where he has to work with Lino (Lenoir), who isn't really interested in a partnership with him because Areski has killed his mentor.

To get a better gist of it, Rotten Tomatoes presents the synopsis as follows.

"Car genius Lino returns to conclude his vendetta against Areski and the corrupt commander who ruined their lives."

That synopsis also hints at the fact that this is going to be the last film in the Guillaume Pierret franchise.

The film is available to watch on Netflix, and we don't know when or if it will arrive on other streaming platforms. To watch it, you will need a subscription for the service or maybe access to your friend's Netflix account.

What other projects has the film's director worked on?

Director Guillaume Pierret has worked on some other projects too, other than the Lost Bullet trilogy. These projects include Golden Show, Le Golden Show, Golden Moustache, and Matriarche. The last one is a short film, and the director wrote it too, similar to his role in the trilogy.
