On June 5, 2025, the LEGO Group, in collaboration with Tomorrow Studios and Netflix, revealed their first LEGO ONE PIECE designs to commemorate the release of the second season of ONE PIECE, to be released on August 1, 2025. The LEGO pieces depict various scenes in the series involving the straw hat pirates.
Some of these include Buggy’s tent battle, Luffy at the Windmill Village and the fight at Arlong Park. In a press release on June 5, the collaborators explained the reason for the ONE PIECE sets:
"The collaboration between the LEGO Group, Netflix and Tomorrow Studios invites ONE PIECE fans from around the world to follow the action and embark on their grand adventures with multiple new LEGO sets inspired by some of the most iconic scenes straight out of the East Blue."
The ONE PIECE sets will include collectable “Wanted” posters featuring images of some of the series’ pirates. The upcoming collection also consists of the ONE PIECE The Going Merry Pirate Ship set.
The set holds over 1,376 pieces of the legendary Jolly Roger ship owned by the Straw Hat Pirates and four collectables. The collection allows fans from age 10 and above to build their dream ship.
Associate design lead on the LEGO ONE PIECE describes the launch as a dream assignment
Yi-Chien Cheng, the Associate design lead on the ONE PIECE project, called it his “dream” in the June 5, 2025 press release:
"Bringing the Straw Hat Pirates in LEGO brick form to fans worldwide has been a dream assignment. I have always been a big fan of the story of ONE PIECE, and it was so exciting to work with the team on building all the details from some of our favourite locations and scenes in the live-action Netflix show in brick form."
Cheng added:
"I cannot wait for fans of both the LEGO Group and ONE PIECE to get their hands on these sets and start charting their own courses into the Grand Line.”
Vice President of Consumer Products and Experiences at Netflix Josh Simon described the collaboration as an opportunity to create authentic products for fans of the ONE PIECE franchise. Simon revealed that they received positive feedback after they teased the line for the first time:
"The overwhelming feedback received from when we first teased the line was phenomenal. It was clear that this was a collection the fans have been wanting for a very long time. We’re thrilled to bring fan favorite moments from both the franchise and the Netflix series in this collection and deliver a grand adventure for Straw Hat fans around the world."
