A large portion of the film takes place in the indoor locations, which were created at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Perry is known for finishing his films quickly, and shooting indoors might have been a reason to achieve that.

2) Dominican Republic

The wedding in the film takes place in the Bahamas, and the makers recreated that in the Dominican Republic. There are a limited number of scenes of the island country that were created in a separate country. Certain scenes were also shot on the actual Bahamas island at the Atlantis Paradise Island resort.
