Mckenna Grace is all set to play Maysilee Donner in the highly anticipated The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. She will be joining the cast of the rest of the young actors, starring alongside industry veterans like Glenn Close, Ralph Fiennes, and Lili Taylor, to name a few. Set nearly 24 years before Katniss Everdeen's journey, The Hunger Games: Sunrise of the Reaping will follow the faces who later offer guidance to the younger generations. The project will be headlined by Joseph Zada, who will play Haymitch Abernathy.
In the past, the True Detective star Woody Harrelson played Haymitch. The upcoming film will likely offer his origin story in its terrifying world, where every decision matters.
Mckenna Grace joins him in the cast as Maysilee Donner. They are both a part of the Second Quarter Quell. They don't start on good terms with Haymitch letting his biases get the best of him. However, he eventually comes around as he realizes more about her, including her rebellious nature, which introduces him to her complexities.
