Star Wars: Starfighter is creating quite the hype among fans as the newest installment in the franchise plans to bring in some fresh faces to the electric world. Among others, Mia Goth stepping into the Star Wars universe is like a lightning bolt charging up the whole franchise as she's setting a trend that has not been a part of the franchise for the last five decades.
Known for diving deep into dark, wild roles, she’s bringing something fresh and unpredictable to Star Wars: Starfighter that fans didn’t even know they needed. With Ryan Gosling leading the charge, this movie is already buzzing, but Mia’s casting flips the script hard. For the first time in almost 50 years, Star Wars is unleashing a female villain front and center, smashing old norms and ready to shake up the galaxy in ways we haven’t seen before.
Mia Goth is known for diving headfirst into roles that most actors would probably run from. She made her debut in Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac, and right from the start, it was clear she wasn’t here to play it safe. In A Cure for Wellness, she was this eerie, porcelain mystery, and in Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria, she gave us quiet fear wrapped in innocence. But it’s really Ti West’s horror trilogy X, Pearl, and MaXXXine that turned her into something of a legend. She's known as one of the finest actors of her generation, having also achieved the title of scream queen.
With that being said, Goth's portrayal of an antagonist in Star Wars: Starfighter will surely bring in more enigmatic layers to the narrative, and seeing her diverse range across her career, the actress will shine just as bright as a villain.
