Michael Mailer‘s Little Audrey has added a Captain America star to its cast: Find out who

MCU star Emily VanCamp has just joined the cast of Michael Mailer‘s supernatural spiritual mystery film, Little Audrey. The update comes from the latest report from Deadline.

VanCamp recently appeared in the MCU's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, alongside Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie. She will now be a part of Miller's upcoming project, which is inspired by a true story.

Little Audrey revolves around Audrey Santos, who suffered a tragic near-drowning accident when she was three years old. The incident left her in a vegetative state until her unfortunate death at the age of 23 in 2007. Deadline reveals its logline, which reads:

"The film centers on a Vatican-ordered investigation into reported miracles surrounding the teenage girl with akinetic mutism."

Born in 1983, Aubrey Santos, also known as Little Audrey, was an American girl from Worcester, Massachusetts. She was the youngest of Linda and Steve Santo's four children. At the age of three, she suffered the aforementioned tragic accident. After that, she became a religious phenomenon and was part of an investigation by the Catholic Church.

While the film is based on her real-life story, it will focus on some aspects of this well-known case. The Deadline report hints that the project will be more about the claims of miracles witnessed by Audrey Santos in the 1990s. That is why, although a mystery narrative, it will be about the spiritual and the supernatural elements that were part of her story.

The Canadian actress is widely known for portraying Emily Thorne, a vengeful protagonist from the ABC series, Revenge. She was also a part of another ABC series, Brothers & Sisters, alongside Calista Flockhart, Dave Annable, Matthew Rhys, and more. Apart from that, she starred in the Fox medical drama series, The Resident.
