The Michigan Movie Critics Guild (MMCG) has officially revealed its complete list of winners for 2025. MMCG is a collective that was formed to bring together professional film critics based across Michigan.

The Michigan Movie Critics Guild (MMCG) functions relatively differently from other larger national organizations. Membership is limited. It is also defined by strict eligibility rules.

To join, film reviewers have to meet outlined professional standards and actively publish work within entertainment journalism. According to MMCG, applications are currently closed and will reopen in Spring 2026 for the 2026-2027 award cycle.

This year's MMCG awards saw Ryan Coogler's Sinners become the most recognized project as it earned eight wins, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress.

Other notable recognitions included Jessie Buckley, who won Best Actress for her performance in Hamnet, and One Battle After Another, which won Best Screenplay. Actress Judy Greer also received the MMCG Award for Film Excellence for her work in The Long Walk.

MMCG issued an official press release to announce the 2025 winners. It read:
