Mickey Rourke, who has been facing financial difficulties recently, has been offered a cameo by director Eric Spade Rivas in his upcoming film.
According to a report in TMZ, Rivas told the outlet that he is currently working on the Scarface spin-off, Scarface Resurrection and would like to offer Rourke a $ 1,000 cameo. It is a one-scene appearance and is about two minutes long.

Reports stated that the film is already in post-production which stars Michael Musto, Roberta Pacino and features posthumous elements from the late actor Ángel Salazar (who played Chi Chi in the original 1983 Scarface).
In 2020, the independent filmmaker cast him in his indie film The Duke of New York for $5000 but he later dropped out before completing the project. However, Rivas emphasized that there is no bad blood and expressed his willingness to make things right.

Mickey Rourke approves GoFundMe campaign amid financial struggles
Mickey Rourke has approved a GoFundMe campaign launched on January 4, 2026, by his friend and team member Liya-Joelle Jones. She is an assistant to Rourke's manager, Kimberly Hines.
The crowdfunding page set up by Jones is said to “give Mickey stability and peace of mind during an extremely stressful time- so he can stay in his home and have the space to get back on his feet.”
She further added:
“Mickey Rourke is an icon but his trajectory, as painful as it is, is also a deeply human one. It is the story of someone who gave everything to his work, took real risks, and paid real costs. Fame does not protect against hardship, and talent does not guarantee stability. What remains is a person who deserves dignity, housing, and the chance to regain his footing.”

The 73-year-old actor has been reportedly facing eviction over the nearly $59,100 in back rent he owed his landlord, Eric Goldie. He had been served a three-day eviction notice by his landlord over his unpaid rent last December. He was instructed to pay rent or vacate the premises. The property has been described as a “nicely upgraded Spanish bungalow” built in 1926.
Rourke had signed a $5,200 per month lease in March 2025, which increased to $7,000, according to his landlord’s filings.
Page Six reported that Rourke has been staying in a luxury hotel in West Hollywood, California. The price of a room at the hotel is at least $550 a night. In photos obtained by the outlet, Mickey Rourke was pictured leaving his Los Angeles home with his dog and belongings. A U-Haul truck was also seen parked in the driveway of his residence.
An insider told Page Six:
“He has outlets to make substantial amounts of money by doing films and reality shows, but he spends it so fast that he is at square one right around the time that he starts making money.”
Mickey Rourke is currently single. He was previously in a relationship with Ukrainian-born German model Anastassija Makarenko. He has been married twice before, first to actress Debra Feuer and then to Carré Otis.
