American dancer and actress Julianne Hough shared a personal update on her official Instagram account. Hough, 36, posted a video of her "egg freezing journey" on June 7, 2025. The Emmy Award-winning actress documented her journey in a compiled video, which featured her taking shots for 10 days straight, before her egg-freezing appointment.

She posted a lengthy caption, expressing why she wants to make her journey public. In the caption, Hough thanked the doctors she works with for their help. Julianne Hough was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2008, and she mentioned in the caption that it is her third time freezing her eggs.

Julianne Hough is not publicly dating anyone at the moment. In 2020, she divorced her National Hockey League professional player husband, Evan Brooks Laich. Keep reading to learn what Julianne shared on her Instagram post.

Julianne Hough shared about freezing her eggs for the third time

Julianne Hough took to Instagram to share about her journey with freezing her eggs. The 36-year-old actress wrote:

"I just want to take a moment to say thank you to Dr. Carolyn Alexander and the incredible team at SCRC. Navigating fertility is never simple, especially with endometriosis and my own personal timeline and hopes around having children… but with them, I’ve always felt safe, supported, and fully informed."

She continued by saying that she wants to normalize the conversation surrounding freezing one's eggs. She elaborated:

"This is my third round of egg freezing and I know it’s not always the most comfortable thing to talk about, let alone share publicly. But I’ve realized how important it is to open up about these things. Women all over the world are quietly walking into doctors' offices, making huge, brave decisions about their bodies and their futures. It’s one of the most vulnerable experiences… physically, emotionally, and for sure hormonally."

She ended the post by saying that if talking about her journey could help any woman out in the world by prompting them to ask more questions or pursue something similar, she feels like she has done a good job. For her, sharing and talking will be "worth it".

@drjashton continued:

"I believe that every woman in their 20s should be having this conversation with their GYN so that they can be proactive about their fertility rather than reactive about infertility down the road XOXO."
