The cast for Netflix's new comedy film, Little Brother, has just expanded as a group of fresh comedic talents has joined the central duo of John Cena and Eric Andre.
The new cast additions include Sherry Cola, Ego Nwodim, Chris Meloni, Ben Ahlers, and Caleb Hearon. They will be part of this exciting project, initially announced at the end of 2024 as being in early development at Netflix. The screenwriting duo of Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul (Huge in France, The Grinder) was then attached to this feature film.
Later, in April 2025, Matt Spicer was announced as the director for this project. Spicer made his feature directorial debut with 2017's Ingrid Goes West, a dark comedy starring Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen. It earned him the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival, followed by the Best First Feature award at the Film Independent Spirit Awards. So, the Netflix film is supposed to be his follow-up feature project.
The official logline for Netflix's Little Brother reads:
"A famous real estate agent's life is disrupted when his eccentric little brother unexpectedly reappears."
With this project, John Cena and Eric Andre reunite after the infamous episode of Andre's late-night parody talk show, where Andre suffered a concussion while performing a comedic stunt. Their new collaboration will pair them with many new faces, who have been proving their comedic chops in the last few years or more.
