Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is set to be released on July 31, 2026, revealed the look of Tom Holland in the new spider suit. The upcoming film is going to be the fourth Spider-Man film of the MCU Spider-Man film series and will star the classic trio of Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon.
Filming for the show began back in August 2025 in Glasgow, Scotland. DiscussingFilm on X (@DiscussingFilm) has reported a picture of the cast at the set of the film.
Zendaya, Tom Holland, and Jacob Batalon at the Spider-Man: Brand New Day set
Very little is known about the story of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The only thing we know is who is in the cast and that the upcoming film is going to be a part of Phase Six of the MCU. The picture reported by DiscussingFilm on X shows Zendaya, Tom Holland, and Jacob Batalon at the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day at Pinewood Studios, England, where the soundstage work for the film is taking place.
While Zendaya and Batalon were confirmed to return for the upcoming film, it is nice to see the trio together again. Besides, since Holland is wearing the Spider-Man suit, it seems filming is in full swing, and he is probably filming the scenes in which he's Spider-Man and not Peter Parker.
Cast members of Spider-Man: Brand New Day are Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as Michelle Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle aka Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner aka the Hulk, and Michael Mando as Mac Gargan aka Scorpion. Tramell Tillman, Sadie Sink, and Liza Colón-Zayas are also part of the cast in unrevealed roles. While not yet confirmed, Charlie Cox might make an appearance in the film as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil.
The upcoming film is written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. The film is produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, and the production companies behind the film are Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios, and Pascal Pictures.
Other than Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tom Holland is going to be seen as Telemachus in The Odyssey. Zendaya will also be seen in The Odyssey in an unspecified role. Besides, she will be seen as Chani in Dune: Part Three (2026), in the developing film The Drama, and as Rue Bennett in Euphoria. Zendaya is also set to voice Felicia in Shrek 5 (2027). Jacob Batalon will be seen in an unspecified role in The Wrecking Crew.
A few other MCU projects are in the works, such as Wonder Man (2025), Avengers: Doomsday (2026), Daredevil: Born Again season two (2026), Vision Quest (2026), and Avengers: Secret Wars (2027), among others.
The set image of Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon might be a simple picture taken on set, but to fans, it is a reunion of their beloved characters. While Zendaya and Jacob Batalon will be playing Michelle Jones-Watson, aka MJ, and Ned Leeds, respectively, viewers are eager to see if and how they will again remember Spider-Man as Peter Parker.
