Eden is the latest directorial by Ron Howard, which is slated for a summer 2025 release across the US. It boasts an exciting cast of Sydney Sweeney, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Daniel Brühl, and Jude Law, who find themselves in the middle of an Ecuadorian Island. Per IMDb, the official synopsis reads:

Until then, Dr. Friedrich Ritter (Law) and his wife Dora Strauch Ritter (Kirby) had made a life for themselves, but with all its beauty and charm, they understood the dangers they must face daily just to survive.

Slowly, everyone else wakes up to the horrors of this detached world. They turn against each other and start losing their senses. The new teaser trailer offers a further look into this insanity that pervades their lives since they step foot on the wretched island. It's violent, messy, and brutal. After all, it's about their crushing loss of humanity.

Ron Howard's psychological thriller Eden initially premiered at the 2024 TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) before its wider theatrical release. The film is written by Noah Pink based on a story he co-wrote with Howard. It is produced by AGC Studios, Imagine Entertainment, and Library Pictures and is being distributed by Vertical.

Eden is based on a true story of European settlers arriving on the Ecuadorian Floreana island, from an archipelago in the Eastern Pacific. It is backed by a haunting score for Hans Zimmer, who has worked on everything from Dune (2021), Interstellar (2014), Inception (2010), and Gladiator (2000), to Brad Pitt's latest F1 (2025).

Howard directs this chaotic thriller film after having worked on iconic projects like A Beautiful Mind (2001), Cinderella Man (2005), Frost/ Nixon (2008), and more, and having won two Oscars.
