Lily Allen is stepping away from Miss Me? podcast to do "some other things."
In the latest episode of Miss Me? podcast on September 15, hosted by best friends Lily Allen, and Miquita Oliver, she confirmed that she would be leaving the podcast.
The singer mentioned that it would be her last episode and expressed gratitude to listeners.
"I'm going to be stepping away from the podcast to do some other things. But it's not goodbye forever, it's just goodbye for now while I go and do some new stuff for a little bit."
While talking about the reason behind her exit, Allen said,
"I just have to focus on some other stuff for a little bit, and I'm very gratefyl for the experience, I've had so much fun, and I've really enjoyed our live shows, especially at the beginning of every year."
"I'm doing some things that need more of my time" - says Lily Allen about her podcast exit
During her last appearance on Miss Me? podcast, Lily Allen clarified that there was nothing to worry about her exit, and the real reason behind it was that she wanted to put more time into other things:
"It's quite the opposite, I'm doing some things that need more of my time, (because), it takes a lot of work putting the time and effort into this show...and I just don't think that I will be able to give it a 100 per cent with the other stuff that's going on in my life at the moment."
Oliver will be joined by Jordan Stephens following Allen's departure. While speaking about Allen's decision, Oliver said,
"I think it's good that we're gonna have some time away from doing this together, because I don't think we'll really understand what we've done here without having that."
She also added,
"I'm really f***ing proud of you. I want you to go and have some adventures and focus on your s***, and I want to take Miss Me? to new places."
Oliver also mentioned that she was "scared" when Allen informed her that she wished to leave. Lily Allen and Miquita Oliver are childhood friends and their mothers film producer, Alison Owen, and TV chef Andi Oliver are also friends. The two women have supported each other both professionally and personally throughout the years.
The two had launched their podcast, Miss Me? more than a year ago in March, 2024.
