Natalia Bryant has just graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California, and kept her late father Kobe Bryant in her thoughts as she celebrated her academic milestone. Natalia included her father’s trademarked "Sheath" logo on her graduation stole, which was in the traditional cardinal red and gold Trojan colors. The logo was launched in 2005, and since the symbol has been an essential part of his merchandise as well as Nike sneakers.
Her stole also contained the words "School of Cinematic Arts”, “USC”, and the Trojans' famous rally cry, "Fight On!”.
Her mother and Kobe’s widowed wife, Vanessa, then shared an image of her daughter’s stole on social media via her Instagram page with the caption,
“4 ever 🫶🏽❤️👑🐍."
This was clearly another tribute to her husband who was known for his love of being a ‘girl dad’ as well his ‘mamba mentality’.

Natalia Bryant graduates cum laude from USC, honours father Kobe Bryant
A host of celebrity friends and well-wishers flooded Vanessa Bryant’s comments section with congratulatory words for Natalia, the first member of the Bryant family to graduate from college. The list includes Tina Knowles (Beyoncé’s mother), Kyle Richards, Jessica Alba, Michael B. Jordan, Jennifer Garner, Storm Reid, and Ciara. Kobe’s former NBA friends also made their presence felt, with Caron Butler, Byron Scott, and others also providing well wishes for Natalia’s incredible feat.
In a January 2024 interview with Town & Country Natalia gave some insight as to what drives her to achieve her goals in this unpredictable life.
"In terms of legacy my main goal is just to be the best version of me that I possibly can."
Despite being on a great trajectory, Natalia also pointed out that she can never be satisfied and always considers herself open to learning new perspectives.
"I just need to know that I have to keep learning, because there's no finish line. You just have to keep pushing and being the best person you can be and soaking everything up like a sponge."
It is clear that her instincts and intuition have helped tremendously thus far, and she ultimately feels compelled to take risks because of the strength she garners from those closest to her. She told E! News,
"You have to pull the confidence together and bring it out in you. I think having a great team and support system has been the biggest thing."
It’s unclear what the future holds for Natalia, but one this is for certain: thanks to the tutelage of her family and loved ones, it will be bright, and a reflection of her dedication and hard work.
