Jackée Harry recently jokingly opened up about her retirement plans through an Instagram post as she celebrated her 69th birthday on Thursday, August 14.
In her post, the "Sister, Sister" actress first appreciated how she looked at 69, writing
"69 and still fine! ✨ "
Jackée Harry recently joined the second season of the Netflix series "The Man on the Inside." According to Deadline, the "Days of Our Lives" actress is set to appear as a guest actor in the upcoming anticipated season of the show, although the exact details about her character have not yet been disclosed.

Jackée Harry took to Instagram to share a post dedicated to her long and illustrious career. In the post, she added that she never thought she would still have a thriving career at her age, adding that she believed she would be retired by now and be enjoying her peaceful golden years with a drink in her hand.
She wrote:
"I thought I’d be in San Diego by now – retired, cocktail in hand, cabana boy on call."
In the comment section of the post, several of her fellow actors wished her on her special day. Two of her former "Sister, Sister" co-stars also wrote their wishes. Tim Reid, who played the role of Ray Campbell in the beloved sitcom that aired on ABC and later on WB for five years, from 1994 to 1999, wrote:
"Happy Bornday to this talented and wonderful woman who always challenged me to be a better performer. Love you madly 🎉👊🏽🤎🤎🤎🤎🌹."
Meanwhile, Camera Mowry Housley, who played the role of Tamera Campbell in the show, commented:
"Happy birthday Jackee!!!! 😍😍😍."
Jackée Harry won an Emmy Award in 1987 in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category for her portrayal of Sandra Clark in the show 227. In a 2024 interview with People Magazine, Harry reflected on the historic win and said:
"I wasn’t aware that I could win or would win because I wasn't thinking that way," she says. "I was coming in hot - I knew that! But I didn't fully appreciate the scope. It was happening to me; I was observing it. In retrospect, now I know how important it was, but I didn't see it coming at all - but I did see success."
Jackée Harry added in her Instagram post that she is grateful to still do what she loves, and thanked her fans for their continued support. She wrote:
"But child… I’m still here, still laughing, still blessed to do what I love and call it work. Now THAT’S the real happy hour. Thanks for all the birthday wishes and continued support! Luv ya much!!! 💖."
Back in November 2024, Jackée Harry was seen reuniting with her other "Sister, Sister" costar, Tia Mowry, at the It's a Wonderful Lifetime event awards.
