Actor Kyle Massey, in his appearance on the “Tea Time with Raven & Miranda” podcast hosted by Raven Symoné and her wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday, reminisced about his time on the hit Disney show That’s So Raven. He explained how the love, fights, and bickering contributed to the cast’s close bond — calling it
"A big part of the chemistry."
Kyle Massey played Cory Baxter, the younger brother of the titular character Raven Baxter, portrayed by Raven Symoné on the hit Disney show That’s So Raven. After the conclusion of the show, Massey reprised his role as Cory Baxter in the spin-off Cory in the House, which ran for two seasons.

During his appearance on 22 May on the Tea Time with Raven & Miranda podcast, Kyle Massey also pointed out the brilliant atmosphere on set, adding that it fueled the actors to give their best. He said:
"On Raven, the atmosphere that we had on that show I would say is akin to some of the best sitcoms of all time. And a lot of our writers came from those shows, and they would validate us like, this is that atmosphere that you spark magic in."
Kyle Massey further added that there were many shows that wanted to duplicate the same magic, but rarely could. He said:
"[Many] wanted to duplicate it, but you can't duplicate magic."
Raven Symoné added her perspective, saying that working with those people on set made her believe in her own abilities, helping create the “magic.” She said:
"You have chemistry with people when you're confident in yourself and your own abilities, and when confidence meets confidence, and you just say, 'play,' or 'action,' things happen. And it's magic."
She further added how she and Massey would often practice their scenes together, allowing them to finish shooting earlier:
"[We finished] in one or two takes, because we practiced in a way and we knew that the other person had our back."
The Life is Ruff actor also shared that real-life friendships among the cast made on-screen moments easier to perform. He recalled a funny incident when Anneliese Van der Pol, who played Chelsea—Raven Baxter’s best friend—accidentally crashed into his car. He said:
"That friendship, those bickering moments. Just like Anneliese coming into work one day and smashing into my car one day, in the parking lot — it just made us a family."
Kyle Massey, who in 2021 was charged with a felony for improper communication with a minor, got engaged to his girlfriend, Hana Giraldo, in March, after being together for several years.
