Britt Lower is one of those celebrities who has a distinctive way of celebrating the holidays. She spoke to PEOPLE exclusively to reveal one of her favorite days of the year, and no, it is not exactly Christmas. During the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Celebration at The Maybourne in Beverly Hills, Lower told PEOPLE that she is still in the "afterglow."Britt revealed the festive secret, saying:"It's a homemade variety show in my living room... And it's just my favorite, favorite, favorite day of the year where friends share talents, from reading poetry to drinking a glass of water, as their talent is hydration. I'm in the afterglow of that. It was just last weekend."Lower also shared what she did for her "talent," saying that she:"Set the bar really low at the beginning by playing a song on my ukulele that I have never rehearsed... I allow myself to make a fool of myself... It's just great fun being in the room with other people and sharing. It's lovely."However, Britt did say that Christmas is her favorite time of the year, if not her favorite day. She added that she and her husband often put up their Christmas tree in November.Lower revealed why Christmas time was special for her. She elaborated:"It was always a special holiday growing up, to take a rest from the year...
