Kit Connor is set to star in Andrew Haigh's drama film A Long Winter. He will be reuniting with his Warfare co-star D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai. The makers are yet to reveal which character Connor will be playing in the film. Fred Hechinger is also a part of the title.
As per Deadline, A Long Winter will revolve around an alcoholic named Louise. She lives with her husband Lester and two sons, Tommy and Mike. After a quarrel, she decides to leave the house. Soon, the weather deteriorates, and a snowstorm takes place. This forces the family to search for her. The local authorities and neighbors also join this quest.
Meanwhile, Connor has acted in films like Get Santa, Ready Player One, Rocketman (where he played a young Elton John), Warfare, and The Mercy, among others. He has also appeared in television series like War & Peace, His Dark Materials, and Heartstopper. The report suggests that A Long Winter has been in the making for a while, and the makers are yet to finalize the producers.
Haigh started his filmmaking career with a bunch of short films like Oil, Markings, and Five Miles Out. He transitioned into feature films with Greek Pete, which was released by Peccadillo Pictures in 2009. Besides direction, Haigh also wrote and edited the film. He then went on to direct titles like 45 Years, Lean on Pete, and All of Us Strangers.
