Cameron Hamilton, during their conversation with People, said:
"We were counting down the day till we could test because we did IVF [in vitro fertilization]. We knew, okay, this is the day that we're going to do the test. Of course, we're going in for a blood test later that day, but we couldn't wait any longer."

Lauren, as she finished the sentence for her husband, said:
"A relief. Because, well, we've taken a few pregnancy tests and when you use the ones with the lines, it could be anxiety driven because it's like, 'Is that what I think?' So seeing the word pregnant, it was amazing. We just looked at each other. I fell to my knees and cried."
She further added:
"It's been a long time coming. We've literally been trying to get pregnant for four years."
Lauren and Cameron Hamilton have been open about their infertility struggles

The first couple to get married on Netflix's Love Is Blind, Lauren and Cameron Hamilton's unique story of falling for one another while seeing each other for the first time before their proposal echoed with the audience, helped them get major recognition. Another reason behind their popularity was their vulnerability and the struggles they've been through. Not only did they talk about it on the show, but they also mentioned it in their book, Leap of Faith: Finding Love the Modern Way.
Besides that, Lauren and Cameron Hamilton have been quite honest and straightforward about their infertility struggles. They even discussed it on one of the October episodes of The Loveseat Podcast, which is hosted by the couple. Lauren, while calling the feeling of getting a positive pregnancy test "indescribable," said:
"I lost my father [at] Christmas of last year. And so we took this test the end of January, beginning of February, so this was literally light in the darkness. This was like, wow. The spark that my whole family needed. We've been trying for a long time."
Lauren further added:
"It was a little bittersweet because my dad's not here physically to be with us, but we know that he's watching over us. So it was just like, 'Wow, I can't believe this.' We just felt so blessed, so grateful and happy, excited. Then it hit like, 'We're going to be parents. Oh my God.'"
