AJ Mana, a pro wrestler of KnokX Pro Wrestling, has been fired from the company for his involvement in Kick streamer Raja Jackson’s assault on fellow wrestler Syko Stu. As of now, Mana has been labeled as an “accessory to attempted murder” pending investigation.
In response to the allegations and mounting scrutiny over his perceived role in Raja’s actions, AJ Mana joined The F Y’all Podcast to clear the air, per Dexterto. He said:
“I got a call from my f**king job [saying] ‘You’re an accessory to an attempted murder. We gotta let you go.’ I can’t wrestle anymore. How am I gonna pay my bills cause ya’ll want clickbait!”
AJ Mana had reportedly been responsible for inviting Raja to the event, and after things had escalated between Jackson and Syko Stu behind the scenes, Mana was caught on video telling Raja to “give [Stu] his receipt.” While many have inferred this meant Mana had given Raja the ‘green light’ to hurt Stu, Mana has insisted he was “in character” at the time, and the terminology was common within the “language of wrestling.”
AJ Mana plans countersuit
AJ Mana is not taking the allegations regarding his potential involvement in the assault lightly. While on the the F Y’all Podcast, Mana also shared that the clips circulating online had been edited to maximise views, and are not fully representative of the conversations that actually took place.
“Hey, guess what? I got all the footage, dumba**es. Y’all got the edits. Y’all got the edits. I have the originals. Oh yeah, I can’t wait for court. Trust me. Counter suing. Counter suing. By the way, damn good lawyer.”
It is unclear at this time how accurate Mana's alleged claims will prove to be. While it has been reported that a full investigation by the LAPD is underway, no further information has been shared with the public at this time.
KnokX Pro Wrestling has also taken a substantial hit from the unfortunate incident. Several students have left their program as per Dexerto, and a previously held deal with the WWE’s Independent Development program has also since been reneged.
Update on Syko Stu
While Syko Stu has yet to issue a statement on the incident, his brother Andrew Smith has been providing updates on his status via Facebook. In the most recent update he shared,
“Stuart is conscious and does have some recollection of events from the day of the attack. He’s currently resting and says, ‘Thank you for the love and support.’”
Meanwhile, an official GoFundMe page has been created for donations to Stu and his family. Popular streamer Mr. Beast has contributed $10,000 toward Stu’s medical bills and recovery.
