Alex Cooper, who hosts the popular podcast Call Her Daddy, recently made a shocking revelation about her former coach, Nancy Feldman, in her new documentary, titled Call Me Alex, where she accused her of sexual harassment. On 16 June, Alex Cooper, in her appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast hosted by Dax Shepard, further detailed the extent of the abuse, adding that she cannot step on a treadmill because of the traumatic experiences from all those years ago. She said:

"And so to this day, I don't get on the treadmill because I can't. There's those little things."

According to People Magazine, Alex Cooper attended Boston University on a full scholarship and was part of the soccer team, but quit right before her senior year. The docuseries recently premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, where Alex Cooper held a question-and-answer session to discuss further about the incident she faced over a decade ago.

More about Alex Cooper's allegations against Nancy Feldman, as the podcaster details out sexual harassment she faced

Alex Cooper, in her appearance on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, described how the events of the sexual harassment unfolded while she was at Boston University. She said:

"I had dealt with *ssh*le coaches my whole life, and the huge draw was that the coach was a woman, and I was excited to be coached by a woman."

In the podcast, she added that she soon started feeling "uncomfortable" in her interactions with Nancy Feldman, explaining how the experience affects her to this day. She also added that she feels uncomfortable even getting up on the treadmill to this day, saying:

"It definitely had a lot of effects on me after college. I had such a difficult relationship to my body and working out. I could not step on a treadmill because I just had this visual of we would always be in lines on treadmills, and she would just stand up my f**king treadmill and watch me run. And I loved running."

In her interview, Cooper also revealed that Feldman would often ask her personal and invasive questions about her sex life and would pressure her to attend private meetings, even when she tried to steer the conversation back to soccer. According to People Magazine, despite Alex Cooper's claim, several women who previously played under Nancy Feldman at Boston University have written a letter in support of their former coach.

Cooper also discussed how no one knew about the incidents except her friend, Alex, who was later removed from the team, something Cooper believes was an intentional isolation tactic used by Feldman. She said:

"And to anyone that's not understanding, this is a complete isolation tactic. I had no one that knew the details except for Alex, and she just pulled the one person away that knew everything. I just remember feeling so sick to my stomach of like this entire thing is just meant to control me even more. To have more one-on-ones with me. To get me alone, to isolate me. And I was just like I can't do this anymore."

She further explained that she has come forward with her story after so many years because she now has a platform to do so, and probably would not have otherwise. She said:

"I don't think I would have because I'm so fortunate that now I have a platform where I'm now about to speak about this. But the thing that really gets me is I am so aware of my privilege. I am a white privileged woman who has a platform. I have money, I have resources, I have power, and I'm still scared to tell this story."

She added:

"It's almost a decade later that this has happened, and I'm scared to talk about this. Can you imagine a woman who doesn't have my privilege? How the f--- is anyone feeling comfortable to talk about this because to clarify again, I was no one when this happened to me. I had nothing. Like I had supportive parents, but I didn't have a platform. I didn't have money. I came forward, and I got denied. I was failed."

Alex Cooper in her conversation also shared that she has informed her parents about the alleged harassment and they contacted the director of the school to report the matter, who allegedly dismissed the complaint without any investigation, which prompted Cooper to later quit the team.
