It has been almost eight years since The Partridge Family actor and musician David Cassidy passed away. The renowned actor was known not only for his on-screen performances but also for his music. According to certain sources, David previously suffered from dementia; however, it was organ failure that led to his death on November 21, 2017.

David was married thrice. His first wife was Kay Lenz, to whom he was married from 1977 to 1983. Then he tied the knot with Meryl Tanz in 1984, which ended after four years in 1988. His third wife was Sue Shifrin, whom he married in 1991, and they shared a son, Beau. As per reports, the Instant Karma actor had an extramarital affair with Sherry Williams while he was married to Meryl Tanz. He shared a daughter, Katie, with Williams.

The actor/musician, who was born on April 12, 1950, would have been 75 if he were alive. The New York Post got in a conversation with Katie at the Tarantino: Pulp Rock, which is a theatrical production that primarily celebrates filmmaker Quentin Tarantino's distinctive cinematic style, where she opened up about how she would celebrate her late father's birthday.

The Arrow actress talked about how she and her family come together to celebrate David's birthday every year since he passed away. However, she mentioned that this year, they plan to celebrate his birthday in a low-key manner by simply lighting candles and wishing him a happy birthday.

Katie Cassidy, who is David's oldest, is a prominent actress and has been in several mainstream movies and popular TV shows like Gossip Girl and Supernatural. David and Sherry Williams' love child, Katie, was born on November 25, 1986. The 36-year-old actress rose to prominence with her role in the horror thriller film When A Stranger Calls.

Katie had a complicated relationship with his father. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Richard Benedon. David, in 2017, several months before his death, in an interview with People, talked about how he considered himself to be Katie's biological father and nothing more. David, in the interview at the time, told People:

David's son, Beau, who was born on February 8, 1991, is also an actor, but, unfortunately, he is not as well-established as his father and half-sister, Katie. The 32-year-old Beau is also not that active on social media platforms like Instagram. Not to mention, Beau's current relationship with his half-sister, Katie, is also unclear. Beau attended NSU University in Florida and later attended Boston University, where he studied theater.
