Nikki Garcia, who gained fame as part of the Bella Twins in WWE, attended the New York City premiere of the Netflix movie, Happy Gilmore 2. She revealed that most of her scenes in Happy Gilmore 2 didn’t make it to the final cut. The former WWE star shared the news on SiriusXM’s The Nikki & Brie Show, admitting she was “really bummed” when she saw the finished film for the first time.

“I remember hearing a few months ago that 20 minutes was going to have to be cut out, and I’ve been praying that it wouldn’t be my stuff, well, guess what? All of my talking stuff got cut. And not just me. It’s the whole group of people I filmed with.” she explained.

Happy Gilmore 2 is an American sports comedy film that was released on 25 July 2025. The movie was written by Tim Herlihy and Adam Sandler and directed by Kyle Newacheck. It was created as a follow-up to Happy Gilmore, which was released in 1996.

Nikki Garcia’s scenes were cut, but she still calls Happy Gilmore 2 a comedy hit

Nikki Garcia explained that many of the comedic scenes she filmed with other characters were also removed, though she understood the decision.

“The characters that I had to work with, a majority of our funny scenes got taken out, but I get, when I’m watching the whole thing, for 20 minutes to be taken out and to keep the heart of Happy Gilmore, it had to happen.” she shared.

According to Us Weekly, Nikki Garcia attended the film’s New York premiere on July 21. She confirmed that she discovered her limited role during the screening itself.

When Brie asked if that was the first time she realized, she confirmed it was and added,

“Inside, I was really bummed and devastated.”

Nikki admitted she was “sad” and “red” in the face but praised the film overall.

“Honestly, the movie is so good, the movie is so good. It’s the best movie I’ve seen in years. I’m not even just saying that,” she said.

Both sisters agreed that Adam Sandler has “never made a bad movie,” with Nikki calling Happy Gilmore 2 “awesome.”

“I laughed the whole time. The crowd laughed the whole time, and there are people that appear who crush it,” she said.

Nikki Garcia also shared that attendees complimented her on how she looked on screen and that the experience, though bittersweet, was unforgettable.

“I would do it all over again in a heartbeat, like one of the greatest experiences I have ever had,” she said.

The original Happy Gilmore, she added, remains in her top three movies of all time.

In June, Nikki Garcia shared that dating hasn’t been top of mind since finalizing her divorce from Dancing with the Stars partner, Artem Chigvintsev. Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, she said becoming a mother changed her perspective, referring to her son Matteo.

"At his age right now, I get so much love that I realized this is all the love I need and want right now," she shared.

Nikki Garcia revealed she’s been on “a few” dates but wasn’t impressed.

"I wasn't crazy about 'em, I was like, 'I'm not even going to waste time and energy.' I'm just too tired." she said.

For now, her priorities are clear.

"I have Teo and I do career, Teo and career," she said.
