Dave Coulier has opened up about his recent health struggles, prompting curiosity about his son, Luc Coulier's life.

The Full House star spoke to People Magazine this week about his struggles with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which he was diagnosed with in November 2024. He reportedly underwent seven months of chemotherapy before he was informed that he had gone into remission. However, at the six-month check-up, a PET scan confirmed that he had a head and neck cancer.

Fans have since begun wondering about his wife and son, Melissa Bring and Luc Coulier, respectively. Dave welcomed the latter with his former wife, Jayne, in 1990, and Us Weekly has reported that, now at 34, Luc works as a pilot for FedEx. Back in November 2020, the actor took to Instagram to mark his son's 30 birthday, noting at the time:

“I used to watch airplanes with him at Santa Monica airport and took him for his first flight when he was just a toddler."

In his conversation with People Magazine, Dave Coulier got candid about how he feels being diagnosed with cancer for the second time:

"It turns out, if I hadn't had that PET scan, then they wouldn't have had this early of a detection and I'd have been in in a world of pain soon," he said. "So as weird as this sounds, I'm now actually thankful for the first cancer, because it helped me detect this second one. It's a battle, but I'm battling through," he added.

He is expected to finish his last round of radiation later this month. Despite the treatment being different from chemo, he admitted that it comes with its own hardships.

"I have a hard time swallowing and speaking," he said. "I sound like I'm drunk because I slur my words."

The actor, who has since dropped 10 lbs because of his ailment, is now launching AwearMarket on Tuesday, December 2. The online shopping portal is expected to showcase products from small businesses from around the world. These will be vetted beforehand, and will reportedly range from natural dog food, clean makeup, protein bars, and wellness essentials, to outerwear.

“We’re going to make better hats. We’re going to do organic underwear. We’re going to do nutrition that just has coconut sugar in it. No additives, no dyes,” Coulier said.

Customers have the option to round up their order purchases to donate to the nonprofit organization V Foundation for Cancer Research, which funds cancer research. Dave Coulier serves as its ambassador.
