Anniversary is the next film starring Diane Lane in the lead role. The thriller drama is directed by Jan Komasa and is slated to be released by Lionsgate on October 29, 2025. The screenplay is by Lori Rosene-Gambino, who has also written the story with Komasa. Here's the official synopsis as per Letterboxd:
"A close-knit family is torn apart as a new movement known as 'The Change' envelops the country."

Anniversary trailer has finally dropped
On August 19, 2025, Lionsgate Movies released the official trailer for Anniversary. The 2-minute and 24-second-long trailer begins with Liz practicing a happy anniversary message for someone in front of the mirror. We then see Ellen and Paul celebrating their special occasion as they are surrounded by people.
Later, we see Ellen inquiring about Liz and telling her husband that she had radical ideologies. Liz is actually the girlfriend of their son, and Ellen is worried about him. Tension slowly starts to build as we see her family getting torn apart because of Liz.
Anniversary is produced by Paula Mae Schwartz, Kate Churchill, Steve Schwartz and Nick Wechsler. Its cast members include:

In an interview with People magazine, Diane Lane spoke about the film.

Last year, Lane voiced the character of Riley's mom in Inside Out 2.
The film is helmed by Polish director Jan Komasa, who has helmed projects like Suicide Room, Warsaw 44, The Hater and Corpus Christi. Its shooting started in July 2023 in Dublin, Ireland. However, it was halted during the actor-writers' strike in Hollywood. The makers managed to get a waiver to resume their shooting. It will be out on October 29, 2025.
