Anthony Edwards reportedly accuses Ayesha Howard of harassing and stalking his NBA teammates amid ongoing controversy

Basketball player Anthony Edwards has made certain claims about his former partner Ayesha Howard. According to an X post by Plugged Soundz, he has accused Howard of stalking his teammates, asking about his whereabouts at a hotel.

He also accused her of taking extreme steps, like having him followed over a weekend. His legal team filed a complaint on May 15, 2025.

The claims come amidst the ongoing controversy over the child support of their daughter, Aubri Summer Howard. While Anthony Edwards submitted a child support case in Georgia, Howard lodged a similar case in California.

The basketball player has allegedly claimed she filed the case in that state to seek greater child support. However, Ayesha Howard dismissed the claim. Although her case was dismissed, she applied for reconsideration.

She sought complete custody of Aubri and requested support. Addressing the state-related issue in the custody battle, Anthony Edwards’ lawyer said:

“Ayesha has failed to provide any evidence demonstrating that she pays utilities in California, rents a home in California, has signed a lease in California or had any connection to California.”

According to In Touch, Ayesha Howard provided screengrabs of a conversation between her and Edwards, which showed that the latter insisted on terminating the pregnancy. As a part of the evidence she provided, there were claims that the basketball player allegedly removed birth control during physical relationship.

Anthony Edwards’ lawyer said Ayesha Howard carried out a “planned-out scheme”

Howard also said his team members called her a "str*pper." Although she worked in clubs, she said that wasn't her job.

Aubri was born in October last year, and a DNA test was conducted two months later, proving Anthony Edwards to be the child's father. Ayesha Howard had previously said:

“My daughter Aubri deserves a future built on honesty and integrity not decisions clouded by errors or injustices.”

Anthony asked the court for a type of legal protection available in Georgia, making it clear he wasn’t trying to get custody or decision-making rights at that moment. He claimed that Ayesha Howard had a habit of sharing their private conversations with the media and the public. Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards' lawyer stated:

“Her only contacts with the state are in connection with her bad faith attempt to game the system and mislead the Court to obtain a California child support order.”

The statement, according to In Touch, added:

“It is clear that the conception of the minor child was a planned-out scheme for Ayesha, who recently attached documentation demonstrating that she was tracking her ovulation around the time that she became pregnant.”

According to InTouch Weekly, his lawyer said Ayesha had made a calculated financial decision and tried to challenge a court ruling she didn’t like. The court had already considered both sides and decided on child support.

Anthony Edwards' lawyer added that Ayesha Howard’s new request ignored important legal rules, repeated arguments that had already been dismissed, and included documents that worked against her case.
