Are Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger separated? Duo slam 'disrespectful' reports

Ant Anstead has confirmed that he and Renée Zellweger are still together and continue to be committed to their relationship, in a statement to People Magazine. The representative on behalf of Ant Anstead said to the outlet that swirling rumors have no basis in truth and are "disrespectful." They said:

"Sadly, the recent reports in the press are disrespectful and misleading."

Earlier this week, the Daily Mail, had first published the news that the couple had allegedly separated, citing that they have been living apart from each other for a long period. Soon after this, other outlets also began reporting the story, prompting representatives to issue a statement.

According to People Magazine, Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger were first reported to be dating back in 2021. The pair had met on the set os the Discovery+ reality TV show "Celebrities IOU: Joyride," and bonded over their shared interests. Their relationship was confirmed around the time Ant Anstead's divorce from Christina Haack was finalized.

According to the statement released by Ant Anstead's representatives, the TV presenter was staying at the guest house of his close friend, Julia French, as their children are of a similar age. They said:

"[Ant Anstead] stayed just a handful of days in Julia French’s separate, and detached, guest house. They have been long-time friends with similar aged children within a circle of local Laguna Beach friends.”

In February, Renée Zellweger made a rare comment about Ant Anstead and his five-year-old son, whom he shares with ex-wife, Christina Haack, during her interview with British Vogue. She said:

"I live in Southern California, near San Diego. Because that’s where my fellow lives, and his little boy,"

Ant Anstead's representatives further added that the couple is currently living apart, as the Oscar-winning actress is shooting in New York for the upcoming fifth season of "Only Murders in the Building," while Ant Anstead is spending his time in the UK for his work. They said:

"[Ant Anstead is] spending the majority of his time working in the U.K., while Zellweger continues to film Only Murders in the Building in New York City.

The representative further stated that the couple, who are known to keep their relationship private, has requested continued privacy.

According to People Magazine, Renée Zellweger shares a close relationship with Ant Anstead's children from his first marriage to his wife Louise Storey. They were seen attending the red carpet premiere of Zellweger's movie, "Bridget Jones Diary: Mad About the Boy," back in February to show their support.
