The 35-year-old musician, born Colson Baker, joined Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, where the host brought up the romance rumors head-on. Reading a question from a viewer identified as Kyle P, Cohen asked,

“MGK, Kyle P wants to know if there’s any truth to the rumor that you and Sydney Sweeney were more than just friends.”

The singer-songwriter, also known as MGK, shook his head, locked eyes with the camera, and quipped,

“Kyle P, shut up, dude.”

The response drew a round of laughter from Cohen and the studio crowd.

The rumor has been building since May this year, when Page Six published images of the two embracing at a Las Vegas club opening. MGK, meanwhile, had also experienced a breakup. He and Megan Fox split over the Thanksgiving weekend in 2024 after what TMZ described as:

"material on MGK’s phone."

According to the outlet, the two had been in Vail, Colorado, when Fox allegedly made the discovery that upset her, prompting her to leave early. Although the relationship ended, the pair had their first child together in March. A source previously told Page Six the two intend to maintain a positive co-parenting arrangement.
