Are Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith still together? Actor and estranged wife seen together in Malibu for first time in almost a year

The I Am Legend star Will Smith and his estranged wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, were recently seen together in Malibu for the first time in ten months. According to People, the 56-year-old Men in Black actor was spotted with Jada having a meal at a restaurant called Nobu in Malibu, California, on September 6, 2025. Both looked quite happy and appeared to be in a good mood as they smiled and talked while being photographed.

It had been almost a year since Will and Jada were last seen together in public. While the Bad Boys star wore a casual white t-shirt with a white cap, the Collateral actress was seen in a hooded strapless dress, coordinated with sunglasses and open-toe sandals. Their previous public outing was in November 2024 in Calabasas, California, when they were leaving a restaurant called Crossroads Kitchen.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett’s November 2024 outing followed their attendance at the LA premiere of Bad Boys: Ride or Die in May 2024. Will and Jada, who met during the production of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, tied the knot in December 1997. As per reports, they are still married but live separately in different homes. Jada shared on Today that they had been living separately since 2016. The Gotham alum said:

she "made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through."

In a 2023 interview with People, Jada revealed that she and Will Smith had been involved in “some really heavy-duty work together” as they figured out where they stand in their relationship. She added:

"We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us. I’m going to be by his side … but also allow him to have to figure this out for himself."

The Academy Award-winning actor, who shares Westbrook, an entertainment company, with Jada, described his wife as his “ride-or-die” during a May 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight. Will said:

"I have always been blessed that there has never been a time in my life when I didn't look to the side and have a ride or die right there. Jada is one of the most gangsta ride-or-die's I've ever had."
