Kristin Cavallari discusses a recent health issue that forced her to have breast implant surgery, not out of vanity, but out of need. The 38-year-old reality actress and businesswoman disclosed that she had to have one of her implants replaced after learning that it had burst during the most recent edition of her Let's Be Honest podcast.

She said that it was her institution that led her to have surgery. She said:
“At least get a consultation.”
Kristin Cavallari revealed all this in the latest episode of her podcast, Let's Be Honest, on Tuesday, May 27. She revealed:
“My intuition was saying, redo your boobs. Go get your boobs checked out. At least get a consultation.”
Cavallari eventually sought advice from a Nashville plastic surgeon who was "a little concerned" about her right breast implant after years of feeling something strange. She had aging implants for eight years. So, at first, she thought they were the cause of the changes in appearance, but the reality was far more serious.
“What we decided was, ‘OK, well, you get in there and see what’s going on,’ because we knew something was up. He gets in there and I have a ruptured implant, and there is no way of knowing how long this implant was ruptured for."
She continued:
"Because my implant was ruptured, my body then formed a huge piece of scar tissue around it, which is good because it, kind of, like, holds it all in place. It’s your body’s way of protecting itself.”
Kristin Cavallari's right breast wasn't "laying right," something she had previously written off as a typical shift with time, but the rupture clarified why. She acknowledged that she had no idea how or when the understanding occurred and called it "crazy." She revealed:
“That’s why my right boob was definitely not laying right. And it was f***ed up. I have no idea when that happened. I have no idea how long that’s been going on for. I guess, maybe, I could go through my camera roll and like try to figure out, like, when my boob started going a little f***ing cross-eyed.”
Kristin Cavallari is unreservedly candid about her choice to have cosmetic surgery despite the fear. She stressed that even though some could criticize her, she is acting in her body's and her confidence's best interests. She revealed:
“Right now, in my life is when I need the best boobs imaginable. I’m sure some people won’t understand that and that’s OK, because it’s not your body. It’s my body and I am very healthy.”
She added:
“If my vanity is going to come into play with my boobs. That’s one area where I’m like, ‘You know what? Yeah, I’m going to put silicone in my body.’ … I’m going to do it and I’m happy about it.”
The former Laguna Beach and The Hills actress even went so far as to say that one of her finest choices was to have breast implants:
“I’ll be honest with you guys, doing my boobs is one of the best things I’ve ever done.”
Kristin Cavallari's history of openness
Kristin Cavallari has never avoided discussing issues like plastic surgery, body image, and the difficulties of parenting. She addressed fan conjecture on Instagram in 2023 over whether or not she had implants or a breast lift. Kristin Cavallari explained that after nursing her three children with her ex-husband Jay Cutler, she had both operations done. She wrote:
"I did both after breast feeding. Everyone acting like I lied about it when I never got asked specifically about implants themselves. I said in an interview YEARS ago that I had a lift."
She went on to say that she had revealed the breast lift years prior, but she didn't feel the need to go into too much detail about her decision:
"To me, felt like I was revealing more than I actually needed to but I never once denied implants, ever."
Cavallari and Cutler are parents to three children: Saylor (age 9), Jaxon (10), and Camden (12). Before completing their divorce in 2022, the pair was married for seven years. Since then, she has been connected to several romantic partners, such as country artist Morgan Wallen, TikTok sensation Mark Estes, and former NHL player Nate Thompson.
Kristin Cavallari has been busy with her jewelry brand Uncommon James and will get busier with her forthcoming series, Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour, as she plans to make a comeback to reality TV on June 5.
