Miley Cyrus is officially stepping into Pandora as the Grammy winning singer is all set to contribute to Avatar: Fire and Ash with an original song. Cyrus has written and recorded a piece called Dream as One for the film, which will be a part of it's original soundtrack. A collaboration between her and Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson and Simon Franglen, the song will be featured in the film's end credits.

The singer made the announcement on her social media, where she wrote about how she resonates with the film's themes as she stated:

“Honored to support Avatar: Fire and Ash with an original song I’ve written with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me. Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine. The film’s themes of unity, healing, and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to be even a small star in the universe the Avatar family has created is truly a dream come true.”

Avatar: Fire and Ash rises from the depths of Pandora as the third chapter in James Cameron’s sweeping sci-fi saga. He reunites with co-writers Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver to spin a story first outlined alongside Josh Friedman and Shane Salerno. Lightstorm Entertainment has produced, 20th Century Studios has distributed the film. The film follows directly on from The Way of Water, extending the family drama and ecological collision into bolder terrain.

The film's official synopsis, according to Rotten Tomatoes says:

"With 'Avatar: Fire and Ash,' James Cameron takes audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na'vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na'vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and the Sully family."

Cameron’s ambition for the Avatar sequels has been long in motion. Though he floated ideas for follow-ups back in 2006 after the first film’s success, the path from vision to screen has twisted through advances in performance-capture technology, particularly underwater sequences never before attempted, delaying earlier plans. At one point Avatar 3 was aiming for a release long ago, but expanding the saga to multiple films demanded extra time and technical leaps.

Most of the familiar faces are back. Sam Worthington is Jake Sully, Zoe Saldaña as Neytiri, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Edie Falco, Cliff Curtis and a host of others return to deepen their roles in Pandora’s evolving conflict. New dangers surface when Jake and Neytiri’s family, still healing after a loss, face off against a tribe called the Ash People, an intense fire-driven Na’vi clan led by Varang, who has joined forces with Quaritch in a wartime alliance that sets off devastating fallout.

Avatar: Fire and Ash will be in theaters on December 19, 2025.
