Babies is the forthcoming comedy film currently in work. The film will be directed by Lauren Miller Rogen, who had earlier directed the 2018 flick Like Father. Lauren has also worked as an actress and has appeared in films like Superbad, 50/50 and Growing Up and Other Lies. She ventured in a direction with her 2018 movie.

Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen in talks to star in Babies
Deadline has reported that Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen are circling to star in the lead role in the comedy film Babies. The film is written and directed by Lauren Miller Rogen. The production of the film is expected to start in November this year in Los Angeles, California. The global rights of the project will be co-represented by CAA Media Finance and AGC. The latter is also producing the film with Lylas Pictures. Set in today's Los Angeles, the film's synopsis reads:
Struggling with the decision of whether or not to bring a child into the world, Annie (Kendrick) and her husband Aaron (Rogen) become instant co-parents when their newly-divorced friend moves into their home with her 3-year-old.
The producers of Babies include Miller Rogen, Jen W. Ray, Miguel A. Palos Jr., Zach Garrett, and Alan Powel. Sophie Høegh and Vicky Patel are the executive producers.
Lauren had earlier directed Like Father, which was released on Netflix on August 3, 2018. It starred Seth Rogen, Kristen Bell, and Kelsey Grammer and focuses on a woman who is trying to form a bond with her estranged father. She had earlier written, produced, and starred in the comedy flick For a Good Time, Call… Her future directorial project includes Be Mine, which is a film in the horror comedy genre for MRC, as well as the action comedy flick Sky Dancers.
Meanwhile, Kendrick has been acting in films since 2003 and donned the directorial hat with the 2023 crime thriller Woman of the Hour. Seth Rogen, on the other hand, was recently seen in Apple TV+ comedy satire series The Studio, where he played the head of a Hollywood studio.
