Bad Day: Netflix officially announces full cast list of upcoming Cameron Diaz action comedy

Netflix has officially announced the full cast list for Cameron Diaz's upcoming action comedy Bad Day, and it's a star studded ensemble with some big names in comedy. Directed by Jake Szymanski, the film is being produced by Beau Bauman and Mark Moran with a script by Laura Solon. With the announcement of the cast list, Netflix has also noted that the film is now in production in New Jersey, taking place in locations around Plainfield, East Windsor, Bloomfield and Passaic.

Bad Day stars Cameron Diaz, Ed O’Neill, Danielle Brooks, John Higgins, Rhenzy Feliz, Jessica Belkin, Emma Pearson, Sam Richardson, Rob Corddry, Mark Duplass, Ben Schwartz, Ayden Mayeri and K Callan. The film will be the second collaboration between Bauman and Diaz, who previously worked together on Back In Action, another popular Netflix action comedy.

Cameron Diaz made her breakthrough in The Mask and quickly became a household name with hits like There's Something About Mary, Charlie's Angels, and Shrek. After a decade-long hiatus, Diaz returned to acting with Back in Action alongside Jamie Foxx. In Bad Day, she plays a single mother navigating a series of unfortunate events while striving to keep a promise to her daughter.

Joining her is Ed O’Neill, who is a popular TV actor, known for his role as Al Bundy in Married... with Children and Jay Pritchett in Modern Family. As for movies, he has worked on Wayne's World, Little Giants, and voice roles in Wreck-It Ralph and Finding Dory. Danielle Brooks, known for her breakout role as Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson in Orange Is the New Black, also stars and has appeared in Peacemaker and films such as Clemency.

Comedy fans will recognize Sam Richardson from Veep and Ted Lasso, and Rob Corddry from The Audacity and Bookie. Mark Duplass, an actor, writer, and director, is celebrated for The League and films like Blue Jay, while Ben Schwartz, known as Jean-Ralphio from Parks and Recreation, voices Sonic the Hedgehog in recent films.
