American actress Nicole Elizabeth Eggert, commonly known as Nicole Eggert, has recently opened up about her ongoing stage 2 cancer struggle. The 53-year-old Baywatch alum, Eggert, underwent a mastectomy and breast reconstruction. Nicole Eggert, besides her Baywatch fame, is also widely known for her role as Jamie Powell on Charles in Charge, which was released in 1984 and ran till 1990.
Nicole Eggert, who also appeared on the classic 1993 sitcom Boy Meets World, after undergoing a mastectomy, took to her Instagram on August 28, 2025, and posted a picture of her wearing a black compression bra and white underpants. The caption of the picture read:
"Had a mastectomy with reconstruction on Thursday. How was ur weekend?"

Nicole Eggert, who also starred in several movies, including Anything For Love, Blown Away, The Haunting of Morella, and many more, first shared the news of her breast cancer diagnosis in an interview with People in January 2025. At the time, Nicole revealed that she gained 25 lbs and that she also experienced a "terrible pain" in her left breast.
After three months, she was informed that she had stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer, which happens to be a rare type of cancer. At the time, Nicole Eggert told People:
"I have panics where I'm like, just get this out of me. You sit there and it's in you and you're like, every second that passes and it's inside of me. It's growing, and you're just like, you just want it out."
Nicole Eggert shared with People that she's "good"

The Secret Sins actress, Eggert, who is the mother of two kids, Dilyn and Keegan, on August 27, 2025, informed People that she's "good" and said:
"I am in sort of a gray area and I finished my treatment, waiting for more imaging and hopefully maybe surgery."
Nicole went ahead and explained, saying:
The “waiting” and “gray area is the hardest because you don't know what's happening ... when I'm doing treatment, I felt like I was doing something productive."
The Demolitionist actress further added:
"So it felt positive and I was like, okay, I'm doing something positive. And now that it's just like nothing, it's like, well wait a minute. We got to get this out. So it's just frustrating."
While Eggert has been quite open and frank about her struggle with cancer, as per People, before she began her chemotherapy treatment, she shaved her head in a video. The caption of the video read:
"Maybe healing involves not so much changing ourselves but allowing ourselves to be who we are - Madeleine Eame"
