SNL dropped a teaser video for Bad Bunny's forthcoming appearance, and fans cannot stop swooning over it.
The reggaeton singer, who was recently announced as the Super Bowl headlining act for next year, will be hosting the Season 51 premiere of SNL on October 4. Bad Bunny, who performed as a musical guest and acted in two sketches just months ago, will be making history as the first person in the show's five-decade run to ever be billed on two consecutive episodes.
The teaser has been doing the rounds online, and scores are expressing anticipation for the same. Others are convinced that this is going to be the best episode yet. Here's how one fan commented on X, for instance:
"Best episode already"
The comments didn't end there:
"I'm going to love this," one fan penned.
"He is one funny bunny," someone else quipped.
"we love you benito," another cheered on.
"clear the way, i must be there," a fourth user chimed in.
See how the rest of X is reacting:
"Hooooooo boy, this is gonna ruffle some feathers lmfao," one user remarked.
"WE WILL BE WATCHING OMG," someone else exclaimed.
"That sure looks like a good bunny to me," yet another jested.
Scores online were visibly excited, though a few naysayers did claim that the singer's name has "been everywhere lately."
Bad Bunny named as the headlining act for Super Bowl LX: Read more
Bad Bunny will be hosting the forthcoming SNL premiere with Doja Cat as its musical guest. He made his debut on the show in October 2023, though he also performed as a musical guest just twice: in February 2021 and May 2025.
The singer, rapper, and actor was also announced as the headlining act for Super Bowl LX on September 28. The announcement was made during the halftime of Sunday Night Football on NBC and Peacock:
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” the Grammy-winning singer said. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”
The show will be produced by Apple and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. In a statement, the latter lauded Bad Bunny's efforts to represent his home country, therefore contributing to its tourism industry:
“What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring,” stated Jay-Z. “We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”
Notably, however, he has also broken several other world records. Bad Bunny's fourth studio album, Un Verano Sin Ti (A Summer Without You), is reportedly the most-streamed album of all time according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
Only time will tell how his forthcoming project pans out.
