The Now You See Me: Now You Don't makers have seemingly devised a rather creative marketing strategy for their heist movie.

Recently, during the live-stream debut of the film’s trailer at New York City’s Times Square, Lionsgate reportedly gave away $250,000 in digital payments for promotions, per The Hollywood Reporter. Executing the marketing stunt in NYC, a billboard reflected a countdown to the trailer’s premiere while the makers encouraged the viewers to text or call a number for a surprise reward.

Now You See Me: Now You Don't is the third addition to the heist film franchise that stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher, among others. Lionsgate dropped the official trailer on Tuesday, April 29, which introduced new characters portrayed by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt, in addition to the Four Horsemen from the original film.

Rosamund Pike will seemingly enact the role of the new antagonist, while Morgan Freeman returns as Thaddeus Bradley. The trailer didn’t feature the characters portrayed by Mark Ruffalo and Michael Caine, who retired from acting in 2023. Now You See Me: Now You Don't is scheduled to be released on November 14, 2025.
