The Devil Wears Prada 2 is the forthcoming sequel to 2006's The Devil Wears Prada. The comedy drama is adapted from Lauren Weisberger's 2013 book Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns. 20th Century Studios will be releasing it on May 1, 2026.
Pauline Chalamet, who is playing an important character in the film, has revealed her reaction to landing the role. She thought that it was all a prank. The actress said:
"I blacked out."

Pauline Chalamet recently spoke to People magazine about her upcoming film, The Devil Wears Prada 2. The actress stated that she thought it was a prank when she was offered the film.
“I blacked out. So I don’t remember. I kind of didn’t believe it until I was given dates. I kind of went, ‘Oh, you pranked me, that’s not really going to happen.’ And then I was given the blueprint for the looks.”
She added,
“It’s a perfect movie. And I really mean that, it is a perfect movie. It’s so fun. [I'm] 100 percent an Andie. I can’t even pretend I’m not. With dreams of being a Miranda.”
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is directed by David Frankel, while Aline Brosh McKenna has written the screenplay. Wendy Finerman and Karen Rosenfelt are the producers under the banners of Wendy Finerman Productions and Sunswept Entertainment, respectively.
McKenna, Finerman, and Frankel were also involved in the first installment. The production of the film has been taking place in New York City since the summer. Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway are reprising their roles from the first film. Its cast members include

The first film focuses on a freshly graduated girl who is hired at a fashion magazine, where she has to report to the editor, Miranda. Upon its release in 2006, the film met with critical acclaim and grossed $326.7 million at the box office.
