The much-anticipated trailer for the new HBO show, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," was released yesterday, October 9, at the New York Comic Con. The show, which is a prequel series set in "Game of Thrones" universe has now prompted a wide range of reactions from fans. One fan referred to Game of Thrones' tendency of killing important and fan-favorite titular characters by writing on X (formerly Twitter):

"They both better die within 35 mins"

The new trailer for the HBO show, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," which premiered at the New York Comic Con, also featured a panel discussion with the cast, the showrunner, and creator George R.R Martin. According The Hollywood Reporter, during his discussion, showrunner Ira Parker spoke about what audiences can expect from the show and said:

"I think the biggest thing about this show — finding its place sandwiched between these two [other shows] — was just tone, tone, tone, for us. These novellas have so much hope, but they also have really brutal elements of this world that I think we’ve all come to love in Westeros, where anything can happen. There is a level of unpredictability that resonates with people because that’s just how your life is."

Soon after the trailer was shown at the New York Comic Con, it was released online, leading to excited fans reacting to the new prequel show. This one person took to X (formerly Twitter) and said:

"better not change anything from books."

Another user wrote:

"They’re still milking Westeros like the dragons laid rent money."

This excited fan wrote:

"Hype is real, can't wait to see this!"

This person added:

"Oh my god we’re so back."

Another tweeted:

"Dammit. Gonna have to uncancel HBO again😤"

"A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," which will comprise of six episodes, is set to premiere on HBO next year, on January 18.
