The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, Brian Austin Green, on his Oldish podcast, which he co-hosts with his fiancée, Sharna Burgess, and Randy Spelling, opened up about his past relationships with ex-partner Vanessa Marcil and former wife Megan Fox. He shared his thoughts and discussed his experience with both Marcil and Fox.

Green, who is currently engaged to Sharna Burgess, a professional ballroom dancer and a troupe member on Dancing With The Stars, met Vanessa Marcil, his co-star at the time, on the sets of Beverly Hills, 90210. They began dating in the late '90s and eventually got engaged in 2001. They share a son, Kassius, who was born on March 30, 2002. However, as their relationship did not work out, they went their separate ways in 2003.

On his podcast, while speaking with Burgess and Spelling, Green revealed that, while growing up, his mother "smothered him" with love, which affected his romantic relationships later in his life. Then she described her relationship with Vanessa Marcil. The 51-year-old actor said:

"If I'm looking for a woman, I want the complete opposite of that. I had some major missteps because of that. I mean, the relationship that I had with Vanessa was very toxic in that way. Like, it wasn't a loving, caring relationship."

While he recalled how much his mother loved him, the Unwed Father actor continued talking about Marcil, saying:

"Just everything was about me. And then with Vanessa, it was not that at all, but it was masked in. This is a relationship where that absolutely exists. So you start thinking like, 'Oh, it's just kind of a new version. Like, oh, she loves me, but this is her way of loving me.'"

However, Brian eventually talked about Megan Fox, whom he met after separating from Vanessa Marcil, during the production of ABC's sitcom Hope and Faith. At the time, she was just 18 and he was 31. While Green compared being in a relationship with Marcil and then dating Fox, the actor said:

"So that relationship (with Marcil) ended up not working out. Then Megan, she was a breath of fresh air, coming out of what felt like Vietnam to me."

Green, after meeting Fox on the set of Hope and Faith, began dating and eventually tied the knot on June 24, 2010. They share three children: Journey River, Bodhi Ransom, and Noah Shannon.

While speaking with his fiancée, Sharna Burgess, and Randy Spelling, Green addressed claims that he "groomed" the Transformers star, Megan Fox, during the initial stages of their relationship, as they shared a 13-year age gap. However, the Don't Blink actor shared that it was Fox who pursued him and tried to convince him that she was ready to be in a mature relationship.

Green added:

"When I met her, she was not even 18 yet. So it was just like, this isn't even a conversation to have. She was really, really persistent. She had turned 18. She decided they'd finished doing Hope and Faith, so she moved back to Los Angeles. And she would not take no for an answer."

Brian, after talking about Megan's insistence, revealed that she is one of those people who, once they have set their mind on something, there is no stopping them. However, Green, about Fox, jokingly said:

"Like now, looking back on it, I think it was part of the tactic because she's so incredibly smart. But she got to a place where she was like, 'Okay, well, I'm just gonna like move on then, and I'm gonna start dating other people.' And I was like, 'Woah.'"
