The chairman of the FCC, Brendan Carr, supports President Donald Trump’s demand for Seth Meyers to be fired from being the host of NBC’s Late Night, after the talk show host made Trump the subject of his roasts yet again.

In the long list of talk show hosts that are targeted by President Trump, Seth Meyers seems to be next. The President shared his thoughts on Meyers and how he should be fired on Truth Social on Saturday.
“NBC’s Seth Meyers is suffering from an incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). He was viewed last night in an uncontrollable rage, likely due to the fact that his ‘show’ is a Ratings DISASTER. Aside from everything else, Meyers has no talent, and NBC should fire him, IMMEDIATELY!”
This comes after Meyers made Trump the essential butt of the joke repeatedly in the past week. The subject of the jokes revolved around Trump's plans for health care, the government shutdown, and, of course, the ongoing controversy over the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Though FCC's Carr didn't share his own thoughts on the situation, he did go ahead and repost Trump's post. This is not the first time Brendan Carr has shared the same views as Donald, as during the Jimmy Kimmel suspension controversy a few months back, Carr stated on Benny Johnson’s podcast on September 17,
“We can do this the easy way or the hard way. These companies can find ways to change conduct and take action, frankly, on Kimmel, or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”
A few hours after this, broadcasting stations Nexstar and Sinclair pulled “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and ABC suspended the show. The show returned to the air on September 23.
Donald Trump vs Seth Meyers
Though Seth Meyers uses the president often for his material, this is also not the first time Trump has fired shots against the former SNL member. Earlier this month, he went after Seth Meyers, calling him “the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television,” to which Seth threw back, saying on his show,
“In general, I try to live by the New Yorker’s creed: When someone is ranting and raving about you, ignore them. Chances are, they’re just going to move on and rave about something else. But there’s one thing I simply have to address. You can say I’m untalented. You can say I’m deranged. But I’m not the one who talks endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers!”
As for the recent post, neither NBC nor Meyers has yet responded.
